Sustainability is embedded as an institute-wide value at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia. Multiple sustainable buildings and human-centered urban space design projects situate RMIT within the city of Melbourne, and the institute follows a Sustainble Design Principles best practice manual for all developments and retrofits . An institute-wide project was launched in 2018 to embed SDGs in all activities across institute. The Sustainability Committee reports to the highest governance body of institute to ensure embedding and implementation of sustainability activities across the institute.
