Carelton University takes several approaches to actively engage the student population in sustainability efforts. Students can take a sustainability pledge, and a platform and training program is run in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund: "Living Planet @ Campus". The Living Planet @ Campus program allows any enrolled student to engage in a variety of sustainability initiatives, supports them in pursuing grants for their own sustainability projects, and allows students to follow a self-guided leadership certification program.
