Institutional Approach

Colorado State University (CSU) has explicitly incorporated sustainability, equity and inclusion within their five institutional learning outcomes. Within their teachings, CSU offers both undergraduate and graduate majors and minors, and courses on a variety topics linked to sustainability, as well School of Global Environmental Sustainability. Additionally, there is a large variety of research institutes and centers with a particular focus on sustainability related topics. CSU has explicitly prioritized an interdisciplinary sustainability curriculum, mandating that all colleges and departments offer at least one minor and/or major program related to sustainability. Several of these interdisciplinary minors and graduate certificates are open to all students, regardless of educational background.
