Institutional Approach

EARTH University, Costa Rica, offers one program of study in Agricultural Sciences, with a focus on social entrepreneurship for students from the Global South. The program of study trains students in leadership and social entrepreneurship to go back to their home countries and act as agents of change for sustainable development and sustainable agri-business. Every student runs their own business during their first 3 years, and are trained to consider both the social and envrionmental implications of their business venture. Field work and international internships are mandatory aspects of the curriculum.
