Linkoping University is organised into transdisciplinary themes rather than faculties, promoting transdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research, with a strong focus on sustainability. These multi-disciplinary departments report directly to the vice chancellor and university board. The city of Linkoping aims to be carbon neutral by 2025, and collaborations with the university are central to this goal.
