The entire curriculum of North Carolina State University is focused on environmental studies and sciences, and each of the 11 colleges connects directly with sustainability . A number of programs engage students directly in sustainability, such as the campus-as-a-classroom (living lab); which publishes an inventory of projects and results. The University also facilitates and provides a sustainability certification for student organisations, workplaces and events. The Steering Committee on Student Food and Housing Security is working specifically on SDG 2, Zero Hunger, to address hunger and homelessness amongst students. Their vision is for all State students to have access to sufficient, nutritious, culturally appropriate, and affordable food & safe, stable, affordable housing.
