Institutional Approach

Northeastern University is home to the Global Resilience Institute, an institute for transdisciplinary research and education and a so-called 'resilience hub' for collaborations, particulary North-South resilience building. The center formed the Global Resilience Research Network, and offers a graduate degree in resilience studies. Also offered at Northeastern are interdisciplinary programs on climate science and urban planning. Institutionally, they frame sustainability in tems of climate justice; this is reflected in their climate justice action plan, and their operational campus hub, the 'Climate Justice and Sustainability Hub'.
