Institutional Approach

Ohio State University has experimented with participatory, consensus-based development of sustainability curricula and sustainable development programs. This resulted in the generation of a sustainability curriculum of topics and community definitions, specific to the university context and the desires of students and educators. This process also led to the development of a sustainability module for students, and the adoption of 8 specific sustainability goals for the university.
