Institutional Approach

Université Laval in Canada offers around 400 courses that cover sustainbility principles and concepts. In addition, they offer a co-curricular Sustainable Development Profile consisting of 12 credits designed for students from different faculties and backgrounds, which is integrated into their undergraduate education without extending their studies. The certification can be integrated into any program of study and provides interdisciplinary sustainability knowledge and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, they have become the first Canadian university to voluntarily achieve carbon neutrality. Their grounds include the largest teaching and research forest in the world.
