Institutional Approach

The University of Stuttgart has established a consortium of academics, engineers and societal actors to innovate the study of green buildings in a living lab format, via their Design-Build Studio and the EnSign Living lab and CampUS-hoch-i projects. They operate their circular campus as a living lab for the implementation of climate neutral operations. They also work in close collaboration with the municipality of Stuttgart to collaborate on the city’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2035.
